Villa View Top is Villa No.2 in Westmoreland Hills, a private gated development in St James, Barbados. Completed in 2022, the three-bedroom villa has over 2100 sq ft of living space on one storey, with Caribbean sea views and sunsets.

The owners have decorated and furnished the villa throughout with guests' comfort in mind, and have added several upgrades to the standard villa specification. The bedrooms, the living room and the open kitchen are all air-conditioned, and every room has a ceiling fan. The extended master bedroom has room for a large work desk and seating area, with a colour printer, scanner and copier for anyone who needs to work in private, and 500MB Wi-Fi broadband runs throughout the villa. Its en-suite bathroom has a full-size bathtub beside a large walk-in shower with a rain shower head and a hand-held shower. A second, shared bathroom with an oversized walk-in shower and vanity serves bedrooms 2 and 3. Large wall-mounted televisions in the lounge and master bedroom each have a Digicel cable box with an extended range of US channels. The fitted kitchen has the usual appliances plus a microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and blender, and a fridge-freezer with ice and water on demand. A washing machine and dryer are in a utility cupboard in the hall.

Full-width bi-folding doors open onto a covered patio with ceiling fans. Beyond it, a 26' swimming pool, larger than in the standard Westmoreland Hills design, is the centrepiece of the outdoor space, and power-operated remote awnings along the uncovered part of the deck let guests choose between sun and shade, with the Caribbean sea and the sunsets as a backdrop.

The rental includes a housekeeper three times a week and a welcome pack of basics, and all linen, towels, beach towels and cleaning products are provided. The villa is close to beaches and amenities, and it makes a comfortable base for a holiday within the development.
