Merlin Bay, Firefly

Firefly is a three-bedroom villa at Merlin Bay in St James, a beachfront development of seven villas on a palm-fringed, crescent-shaped shoreline. It has a private plunge pool.

The villa is on two floors. The entrance is on the living and dining level, which has an unobstructed view over the gardens, the main pool and the sea.

Sunsets can be watched from the plunge pool or from the private terraces, all overlooking the sea and garden, which are good places for drinks or dinner. The enclave has a large lagoon-style communal pool and landscaped gardens, and steps lead down from the low sea cliff to the beach.

Merlin Bay is one mile north of Holetown, with local and designer shops and many oceanside restaurants. Golf is close by at Sandy Lane and Westmoreland, and water sports are available locally.
