Royal Westmoreland I Mango Walk

Mango Walk is a six-bedroom villa in the Royal Westmoreland Golf Resort on the West Coast of Barbados. It is in one of the original resort areas, which gives it privacy, and the clubhouse is a short walk or golf buggy ride away. The villa sleeps up to 12 adults.

Electric gates open onto a long driveway lined with mature gardens and Imperial Palms, leading to an Italian fountain and cascading water features. French floor-to-ceiling glass doors lead into a central courtyard built around indoor/outdoor living, from which the rest of the house opens out. Traditional features sit alongside modern glass windows and doors and contemporary furniture.

The upgraded, fully equipped kitchen has bar stools and serves an air-conditioned dining room that opens onto the pool deck and barbecue areas. The living room, with a TV, also opens onto the pool deck. The entry level has 3 large bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom and a private outdoor terrace. The whole top floor is given to the master suite, with an en suite bathroom, walk-in wardrobes and a large terrace with views of the sea and the tropical gardens; it can be reached from inside or by an outside staircase from the pool deck.

The lower level has a guest apartment with its own entrance, a large bedroom, an open-plan living area, an en suite bathroom and a dressing room. Also on this level, reached from the lounge, are a cinema room with a hundred-inch TV, a fully equipped gym, and a games room with a pool table, air hockey, table tennis and table football, plus a bar and relaxation area. A separate one-bedroom cottage with its own terrace sits in the tropical gardens.

The oversized infinity pool has dolphin mosaic features. The pool deck has sun loungers and umbrellas, and steps lead down from it to a gazebo surrounded by gardens.

Housekeeping, a chef/cook, concierge services and 24-hour resort security are included. The clubhouse offers a championship golf course, tennis courts and the Mullins Beach Club.
