La Lune - Gibbes

La Lune is a two-bedroom beachfront villa on Gibbes Beach in St Peter, on the west coast of Barbados. It stands in a 3/4-acre lot of mature trees and planting, with views of the Caribbean Sea, and has a relaxed, barefoot feel. It has been refurbished.

Twelve-foot-wide glass doors open into a spacious great room with an oversized linen sofa, antique Barbadian chairs and a modern, fully equipped kitchen. The master suite has a super king-size bed, a large wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom finished in marble and beach glass, with a rain shower. The second bedroom can be set up as two singles or a king-size bed and has a bathroom with a claw-foot tub and shower. The villa has Apple TV, Sonos and a security alarm, and a bar with a wine fridge, ice maker and cocktail tools that opens onto a secluded terrace for sunbathing. A housekeeper and cook are included.

A paved path winds through the landscaped garden to a deck looking straight onto Gibbes Beach. The covered terrace suits casual outdoor dining or reading in the sea breeze. There is also an 8-seater jacuzzi and a gazebo with a coral stone table that seats up to 8 for dining outdoors, a good spot for the sunset and the night sky.

Gibbes Beach is on the west coast, close to local restaurants and amenities.
