Crows Nest II

Crows Nest II is a penthouse apartment at the south end of the Platinum Coast of Barbados, 30ft from the sea, with direct access to Brighton Beach and a 180 degree view along its sand, which runs for over 1 mile.

Built in 2006, the apartment has 5,000 sq ft (500 sqm) of space over the top 2 floors of a 3-storey building, finished throughout in hardwood and natural stone. The 5 air-conditioned bedrooms, 3 of them en-suite, are on the 1st floor with four bathrooms, and sleep 10; additional beds for up to 18 can be arranged by special agreement. The living area is on the floor above, where it catches the breeze. Arranged around a central open-plan kitchen, it has two lounges, a 14-seat dining table, a bar, a library and a further toilet and shower. All bedrooms have fly screening, security bars and digital safes, and there are ceiling fans and solid wood floors throughout, 110v and 240v outlets, wireless internet and a high-pressure water system. There is deliberately no television.

On the roof is a 30ft pool with a pool bar, alongside a barbecue area. There are external showers on the ground and top floors, and two kayaks for guests to use.

The apartment is designed for guests who want to self-cater, but a cook can be arranged at additional cost. A full-time maid and laundress works from 8.30 a.m. to 4:30 pm, 7 days a week, washing up, doing laundry and cleaning the rooms daily. A masseuse is available by appointment, there is a security camera system, and a night watchman is shared with the two villas on either side.
