Three Bedroom Retreat

This three-bedroom property stands on a sloping hillside at Mount Pleasant on Bequia, 200 ft above the ocean, with views of Mustique, Battowia, Balliceaux and the Caribbean Sea. It comprises a main house and two cottages, set among gardens planted with a wide variety of tropical fruit trees, including mango, orange, banana, papaya and passion fruit.

The main house measures 1,460 sq ft. Its ground floor is an open-plan space with living and dining areas and a kitchen, and a spiral staircase leads up to a mezzanine bedroom. The guest cottage, of 512 sq ft, has one bedroom, one bathroom and a kitchenette, and the 768 sq ft office cottage houses another bedroom and a study.

The main house opens onto a deck and a freshwater plunge pool with a couple of seating areas. Between the main house and the two cottages is a large fishpond with a waterfall and fountain.

Mount Pleasant Bay, which is good for rock fishing, is a very short walk away, and the quiet sands of Hope Beach are a 20-minute walk.
