Royal Westmoreland - Plantation House

Plantation House is an eight-bedroom villa in the heart of the Royal Westmoreland Golf and Country Club in St James, Barbados, set in mature private gardens. All eight bedrooms are en-suite, and the villa has views over the resort to the Caribbean Sea beyond.

The entrance is an open-air lobby that leads through to the formal dining and sitting rooms. The modern, high-specification kitchen, a study and five ground-floor bedrooms all open off this central space. The lower ground floor has a large TV and games room with a pool table, table football, table tennis and a large TV, along with two further bedrooms that suit guests travelling with their own staff, such as a nanny or pilot, or teenage children. On the first floor, reached by a double sweeping staircase and gallery, the master suite is a spacious, well-appointed room with its own private terrace for the views and a drink at sunset. The master suite is fully air-conditioned.

Two sets of double glass doors open onto the main terrace, which overlooks the pool and garden. It has a large dining table and two separate casual seating areas, for relaxing by day and entertaining in the evening. The games room on the lower ground floor opens directly onto the spacious gardens.

The villa sits within Royal Westmoreland, with golf on the doorstep and the resort and the Caribbean Sea in view.
