Powell Cay Private Island

Powell Cay is a private island in the Sea of Abaco, Bahamas, lying between Spanish Cay and Manjack Cay in The Abacos. With a total footprint of approximately two hundred and ninety four acres, it is offered as a development opportunity, suited to a 5 star resort location or to a private retreat, and is a natural site for a resort project of its own.

The cay runs in an approximate northwest to southeast orientation, giving it two quite different shores. Its northern side has Atlantic Ocean exposure, with the shallow-profile sandy beach typical of that coast, while the lee side faces the Sea of Abaco and enjoys relative protection.

The island lies approximately three miles north east of Coopers Town on the mainland, the northernmost settlement on the island of Great Abaco.

A portion of the island is owned by the crown and is in the process of being made into a nature preserve.
