About Isle a Quatre
Isle a Quatre is a private island in the heart of the Caribbean, forming part of the sovereign nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and lying just 160 km west of Barbados in the Southern Caribbean. It covers 376 acres at the coordinates 12.57° N, 61.15° W, and has remained undeveloped for over a century. It is offered as a development opportunity, with the Quatre Isle Resort Act No. 38 of 2006 already in place.
The island stretches approximately 1.86 miles in length and ranges from 250m to 975m in width, giving ample coastal frontage along 6.12 miles of unspoilt coastline. Four hills dominate the landscape, each overlooking its own stretches of golden sand. From the highest point, about 146m above sea level, the island has panoramic ocean views across the neighbouring islands.
For over a century Isle a Quatre has remained a pristine sanctuary, its only building the historic estate house of Sir James Mitchell's family, a lineage that includes the former prime minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The rest of the island remains in its natural state, a canvas ready for transformation.
To the north, Bequia and its convenient airstrip lie just two kilometres away, with the lush, mountainous island of St. Vincent further in the distance. To the east is Mustique, and to the south Canouan, known for its 5-star resort and golf.
The development company, Quatre Isle Resort Ltd, has been established and carries no liabilities. The Quatre Isle Resort Act No. 38 of 2006 provides a 20-year tax holiday, together with incentives, exemptions and residency opportunities for investors. The Act requires the development of a first-class resort, featuring a boutique hotel, luxury villas and essential infrastructure, drawing on the successful models of Mustique and Canouan.
