Firefly is a five-bedroom lateral apartment within the Old Trees development at Paynes Bay, St James, on the West Coast of Barbados. It takes up an entire floor and looks out over the water and sands of Paynes Bay Beach.

The interiors are elegantly designed, with furnished living spaces, a white marble kitchen and a dedicated media room. Each of the five en-suite bedrooms has air conditioning and ceiling fans.
There are two large terraces. The first has a plunge pool, sun loungers and a seating area; the second has a wet bar and a dining table for up to 14 guests, with ocean views. A private stairway leads down to the tropical gardens and a communal freeform pool with a cascading waterfall, and from there straight onto Paynes Bay Beach, with sun loungers, umbrellas and beach service.
The apartment is fully staffed with a housekeeper, laundress, villa manager and concierge, and a cook or chef can be arranged on request.
