Baraka Point Estate

Baraka Point Estate is a fully staffed nine-bedroom villa on the west coast of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, set on one of the island's snorkelling beaches with ocean, island and sunset views. It takes its name from a Swahili expression which translates as "Hurry, hurry is no blessing". Completed in the early 2000s and operated ever since as a private retreat, the Estate has been entirely restored, revamped and improved.

The villa extends to 12,000 square feet and is arranged as a series of distinctive copper-peaked pavilions. The bedroom pavilions hold five king-size suites, each with sea views, together with four small children's bedrooms. A fourth, larger pavilion contains the spacious living, dining and entertainment areas, while the Spa and the Games Room occupy two further pavilions. Designed with discerning travellers in mind, the interiors capture the colours of the Caribbean and set them against hardwoods, sumptuous handmade silks and furnishings from Indonesia, India and China, creating a blend of styles that is entirely the villa's own.

A serpentine path winds through two acres of tropical landscaped gardens, out of which the pavilions rise. The villa is beachfront, with direct access to the beach.

Baraka Point sits within the Nail Bay Estate and is within easy walking distance of three sandy beaches: Mountain Trunk, Nail Bay and Long Bay. The facilities and services of a resort are available within the Estate, including a gym, a resort pool, tennis, a squash court and the rebuilt Sugarcane Restaurant.
